Registration 101:
Tball: age 5-7, where it all begins! No assigned umpires. These games are typically played intraleague only (all at NCLL, no traveling).
Coach pitch (Minors A): age 6-9, at least 1 season Tball required, coaches pitch to players. Mid-season, teams have the option to allow players to start trying to hit off live (player) pitchers. No assigned umpires. Interleague (play other teams in District 6, travel likely).
PeeWee pitch (Minors AA): age 6-9, at least 1 season Tball required, a step up from CP but not quite ready for Minors Player Pitch. Players pitch all season long. Coaches may relief pitch. No assigned umpires. Interleague.
***Following coach pitch and/or peewee pitch is often where coed teams become less common. Female players typically transition to Minors softball after CP or PW.***
Minors Player pitch (Minors AAA): age 8-11, (7-11 for softball) training wheels are off! It’s the real deal now! Ideally, players move from coach pitch or peewee pitch up to minors player pitch. (CP & PW are formative divisions! We like to step up in order wherever possible.) Players pitch all season long. Umpires. Interleague. Offers All Stars. First somewhat competitive division.
Majors: age 9-12, competitive. Interleague. Umpires. Offers All Stars.
Intermediate 50/70: an in-between division for kids age 11-13. Baseball only. Competitive. Base & pitch length are further than Minors & Majors but not quite as long as Juniors. Interleague. Umpires. Offers All Stars.
Juniors: age 12-14, competitive. Interleague. Umpires. Offers All Stars.
Seniors: age 14-16, competitive. Interleague. Umpires. Offers All Stars.
